Vision

To put open-pollinated, biodynamic and organic seeds in the hands of farmers in Argentina and Latin America as a viable alternative to the dominant agro-industrial model.

Our mission is:

  • To be a motivating force that will strengthen the network and chain of biodynamic and organic seed production.
  • To promote biodiversity, ecological resilience, (agri)cultural innovation, and grassroots networking.
  • To train and support seed growers.

Funding Campaign

¡Necesitamos su ayuda para que podamos levantar el emprendimiento de la "Semillería Colaborativa"

We are growing a Seed Initiative in Argentina under the umbrella of the Argentine Biodynamic Association.  Among it's objectives is to develop food sovereignty by fomenting ecological seed production and seed biodiversity.  The two aspects of it's starting strategy include:

  1. Reseach and Training: Survey and documentation of regional varieties through trial cultivation.  Offering a two-year training program for biodynamic seed production for farmers.
  2. Seed Multiplication and Circulation: Development of a Seed Grower Network that generates income for small-scale farmers.

To meet our objectives for the first year, we need 40.000 Euros.

Some Statistics on Argentina:

Organic agriculture is growing. But still the overwhelming majority is for the foreign market. Small-scale farmers who make up the majority of the total number of producers are a key to strengthen local consumption and production, and are a pillar of agroecology.
